I was doing something outside when I decided to put my DJ in my front shirt pocket.

I missed! (Gulp!)

It fell a good five feet to the concrete and put a dent in the upper left lug.

Everything else is fine.

No pics because it's so insignificant, unlike the spike in my blood pressure.

Rolex quality!

Check the timing as the accuracy maybe off with the shock to the movement.

After reading the horror stories of drops on TRF, I must admit I baby my 14203 when in hand and off wrist... Over carpet. Bracelet wrapped around center of palm... Happy to hear the piece is okay!

After my last post, I decided to go get something to eat and on my way I was thinking about the accident and I realized that my previous description didn't match the fall and impact that had occurred, so at the next stoplight, I took off my DJ and the damage was somewhat more than I'd initially realized.

Sadly, this is the first series of macro shots with my new 105mm lens that I bought in anticipation of setting up a little corner studio in my small, but dingy and cluttered apartment.

The underside edge got chewed up pretty badly, but I'm just thankful it was the underside and not the topside.

Oh, well. The watch is still quite a bit less beaten up than it's owner.

There is of course only one thing to do and that's to just suck it up until service time. It's just a little salt, that's all.

Ouch!

You've probably done the shirt pocket maneuver countless times and the one time you may have been a bit distracted the wrath of the evil scratch demon comes to bite you in the proverbial.

Fingers crossed all the damage is external only and not bothersomely noticeable when the watch is on your wrist.

I must say though, your pragmatic approach to the situation is a lesson to us all.
