Here it is!
It's a W serial. Sorry for the q & d pics. It has a few scratches on the case, but I'll get them to buff it up nice later. For $2800 plus tax I wasn't going to complain. Even has a white gold bezel!
I think this is the best watch deal I've ever made Cheers, Bruce |

At $2800 for that fine piece of machinery, watch deals don't come any better! You've scored big-time there, Bruce!

Congrats Pal!! That is awesome and I am glad you pulled the trigger.
Very cool watch, and a better second option than a regular DJ, way to go Brucey!!!!

I just can't take it any longer Daren. Had to figure out a way to buy it. With my luck they woulda sold the damn thing, even though they've probably had it for 10 years
The watch really has some presence, more than a regular DJ, and the bracelet is something special. Kinda looks like the bracelet on the AP RO, at least from what I've seen in pics. So, I guess now I'll have 2 good watches. Tam has her two so it's only fair....right |

Only fair, LMAO!!
The bracelet is awesome for sure!! That is one of their best moves on any watch. Yuo made a good decision in my book mate, way to go pal. I know the place you are in now, and I know that you will both love and appreciate that baby.

No wonder you couldn't wait the 4 months for that thing, Bruce. It's a beauty. Congratulations and enjoy it immensely.

Thank you Ed! I've just been doing a little reading on the movement over on oysterquartz.net. Facinating stuff. Bruce Reading and his co-mod on the WUS High End quartz forum have a VERY indepth article on thermocompensated quartz movements. I'll have to wait until I have some brain to read that one

Looks real sharp on the wrist, Bruce. And the Romans just add a touch of class to it.

Beautiful watch Bruce. Sounds like a great deal too although I wouldn't really know. Now for the stupid question. Although I have never seen a quartz watch with a smooth sweeping second hand(or even remotely smooth for that matter), but since this is Rolex did they find a way to do that with a quartz movement?

Feels good too Daren. The watch is substantial. Seems more so than a regular DJ.
And, thanks Ed. I've always been partial to the sticks myself, but I really do like the romans on this one! |

Thanks Micah! Yeah, that was probably the deal of the century for me. Makes up for some of the bad ones I've made They really treat me well in there. Maybe not as good as JJ gets at Mansor's, but pretty well.
They said some people have been interested in it, but they never follow though. Annapolis is a typical yuppie town where most everyone who buys a Rolex does it to impress their friends. I reckon they all thought their friends wouldn't believe it was a real Rollie because it ticks! Idiots |

Man, you have like ZERO self-control. You're back to step one, my friend.
Congrats on the good score. It really isn't one I even remotely like, but hey, that's what makes this hobby so much fun. Enjoy and wear it in good health. BTW, wear it into a strip club and see if the girls think it's real. |

LOL, thanks John. The girls in a strip club recognizing my watch would be the least of my problems if I were to go into one now
On the self control part, it doesn't help that my wife is as bad as me wrt watches! Last edited by BruceS; 8 November 2005 at 12:11 AM.. |
