I once owned an Day Date Oyster Perpetual
Hi All
As you can see I am new here! How I came to be here well... Recently I purchased job-lot of spare or repair watches from eBay, only to find out when I received them that 2 out of 3 are fakes. So just out of curiosity goggled fake Rolex, which bought me here. I just wish to know how how in the world can people not tell a fake watch? The fake Rolex I have which is splashed all over the web, with pleas of help, "I have a Rolex winner Daytona 1992, is it real or fake?" Firstly can not imagine Rolex would engrave that on back of watch, but if they did the engraving would look nothing like the fake ones. Secondly this watch comes with 2 buttons next to the winder, ask your self this... Would Rolex put two in-operable buttons on their watches? Oh I could go on, but I wont bore you... Now to my once owned DayDate Oyster Perpetual, had previously been owned by my uncle who passed it on to me. Was purchased Duty Free back in the early 70's. To this day I have yet to see a strap like this one, from the casing to the clasp it tapered, to quite a narrow width. Where is it now? I hear you ask... Who knows. Had it on my wrist one gloomy morning, got to work and went to take it off (am a chef) not there, where is it? Recently saw the same watch in a second hand watch shop, with a £1900 price tag... Never realised was worth that much!!! |
