Hello. I wouldn't sweat it yet. Post some pics and the experts will help you out. It definitely could be a random serial number if you purchased it in 2010.

I dont think you can get a random 16610 date. V would have been the latest serial. I could very well be wrong. I would be concerned.

My only experience is looking at the FS section on this forum. I have never seen a random 16610.
If there are G serial 116610, and random was after G, then my logic tells me random 16610 date wouldnt be a possibility. Were 16610 still even produced in 2010?

Is there rolexrolex engraving on the rehaut as well, with the serial no matching that of the certificate? I can't tell from the low res picture.

Did you buy it from a trusted seller here? If so, I would just enjoy it!

Welcome to Rolex ownership! I don't think you've anything to worry about, other than what your next Roles will be.

Looks OK to me... not sure if its going to have the serial between the lugs, but does the rehault match the card #? Also, any chance you can open up the back and show a pic? Where did you buy it from?
My gut is saying you did good, and I really hope my hunch is correct!

If this is the dented one, can you show pics of the dent? Is it a cantidate for laser welding, or minor enough for a bit of polishing, or just gonna keep the scar?

Looks like you made a good deal. You may be surprised what some light hand polishing will do to the ding--- just dont damage any of the chamfers!
