Question: M Series - Did it range 2 different GMT models?

Did the M series range both the Coke bezel and the new ceramic GMT?
If you know, I would love to hear.
Thanks!

Yes. I think many of the M serial 16710 GMT II's came outfitted with the 3186 movement.

There were M serial 16710 GMT's & M serial 116710 GMT's produced simultaneously. Most M serial 16710's were either Coke (16710A) or Pepsi (16710B) with very, very few M serial all black bezel (non ceramic) GMT's (16710N) ever discovered. There were also Z serial 116710's produced.

Yes,

there are M serial older style 16710 with all three bezel inlays, and there are the newer 116710 M serials.

It would be interesting to know if there are late M serial 16710 that has higher serial number than the early 116710... I think I need to look into that...

Best,

A

Edit: Just as Edward (above) points out the 116710 was introduced before the 16710 stopped selling, and I should have remembered that... It has been awhile since I followed the discussions on late serial 16710 (with caliber 3186). So to answer myself: Yes, there are 116710 with lower serial number than 16710...

That's great. Thank you all. I got worried. I did get a GMT (16710A) and it's M series. I have to say, I really like this one a lot and have worn it lately, more often than my DSSD or my Sub-C LV.
Had the newer GMTII-c in the past, but the huge numbers around the bezel bugged me, so I sold.
