If you can pull it off both look wise and 'lifestyle' wise, buy it.
Rolex YG always is a showstopper, i just love em

Or you could do a GMT II 18k to convolute things a bit

hehe

You never specified WG or YG. WG is certainly not over the top and would be my choice. Actually, it was my choice and no regrets.

YG is great looking on some, but it doesn't do it for me when it's on my wrist.

I love the black dial. You then can put the watch on a strap for a change of look.

I love the 18k subC! If you can swing it go for it! A big time reseller has been trying to talk me out of it by citing that many of the ones he sells are safe queens and dont get enjoyed... and then get sold back to him.

Its a big chunck of change, but IMO, I think if you can buy right and afford it, its a fine choice!

The watch I'm considering is a Z-series Yellow Gold...Blue dial and bezel....
I can buy it for $10K from a private party....

I always thought I wanted one, but I am almost self-conscience even wearing my TT sub simply for the bling-factor....

Would I look like the stereotypical mid-life-crises guy....?
You know...the gray chest hairs...gold chains...red Corvette...and...uh....an 18K sub?!? (by the way, I don't have any of the above yet, but I REALLY want the sub!!!)

I know the price is great....not buying it to flip....I want to wear it....but....I guess the real question is.....is it CHEEZY???

Go for it if you can afford it.

You can always get something else once you get your gray chest hairs, gold chains and red Corvette!

I'm right there with you brother, but have decided on the WG Sub for my first all gold piece. After that, I think the logical progression of my personal collection would be YG, then rose.

Be prepared for the attention. When I still owned a two tone blue Sub C, I would catch dozens of people staring at it and also checking me out every time I wore it.

Submariner model is designed for underwater diving.
I don't think Rolex should even produce/sell a gold Submariner. The combination does not ring true.

Your right.

Just tossed my WG sub in the garbage.

Thanks for the heads up.

When is trash day and would you mind sending me your address? I'll make sure NOT to buy a YG Blue Sub C with the money saved by getting your WG Sub for free

I respect your opinion DG123, just having fun here.
