Maldives!
Here's the latest diver to land in my stable and while I usually eschew buzz words and phrases, Oris really 'knocked it out of the park' with this one.
Just about everything on this piece is first rate and when all the features are considered for the price, it's an outstanding value as well. Dare I saw this watch is very close in overall quality, features and performance for 40% less than what my new Seamaster Ceramic cost? Okay I just did. Some of the great features of this watch are an awesome looking ceramic bezel with black inset numbers (a nice change from white or silver numbers on a bezel), automatic helium release valve, all titanium construction (and since the Ti is so nicely finished, both brushed and polished, it doesn't even look like Ti), updated pushbutton clasp with fully machined deployant and dive extension, cool sub-seconds hand, overall very light weight due to the Ti and great looking orange lume hands with super cool yellow lume at night. It'd be nice if the movement was a bit fancier than the SW200 that's in it, but timekeeping has been +7/24 hours so I can't complain with standard 41-1/2 hour power reserve. A full review will be forthcoming, but so far I am very impressed with this piece and it has plenty of differences from my Oris TT diver to be distinctive. Cheers, -Marc |

Wow. I'm really digging this watch.
When I saw the press release come out a while back, it caught my attention but the real life pictures showcase the true beauty of it. A big congrats! |
