Regular Sub with Maxi Dial?
Would you replace the green bezel plate on your sub with a black one just so that you have a regular sub with a maxi dial? Does Rolex sells the black bezel plate and does it hurt to remove the green one and switch it to the black sub bezel plate??

You could do that without problems, and probably I would do that, too, if I had an LV.
I would then keep the green bezel insert in pristine condition should I later decide to flip the LV.

No..
If I want a black insert watch, that's what I would buy.. Why pay the extra money for a green insert and then spend some more money and change it, just for a maxi-dial.. However, if somebody gave me a kermit, I'd change it to a black insert in a minute so I could wear it in public... |

Yes! Have done it before. That way you can have a Sub with a Maxi Dial and with a Black Bezel. Best of both worlds. Also, preserves the Green Bezel, as Bo stated, for future resell. Rolex does not sell the Black Bezel insert. Actually pretty hard to find an original, but if you look you can eventually find. I got a hold of a new inserts for a 16800 Sub, in Bangkok. Cost me $150. From a watchmaker freind. Still in the wrapper and fit perfect on the Sub LV.

Yes, in a heart beat, although I really like my 16610 Sub Date black and have no problems with it.

ARRRRRRRRGGGG!!! I just called some ADs in Hamburg. These bloody sons of female dogs are play by the rules and dont sell black bezel inserts if you have a LV... And I dont know anyone with a sub that could help me out (take off the bezel and say it fell out ;D)
Doesnt anyone here know any ADs that are not so damn annoying? After all IF i kew someone with a regular sub it would be no problema to get the damn insert in black?!?! HELP! P.S: Bo, you said you knew some in Berlin? Could you PM me the details, i might take a trip down there just for the bezel insert :D |

Not my photos, but here is a link to another LV owner who swapped out the Emerald Green bezel for Black one. I did the same before, as I found I could not stand the Green Bezel. If they would have made it a darker green it would have been ok.
