Do you know the serial number? Insert looks to be shaved to fit.

...two sub cases ( never polished ) for comparison.
HRP seems to be right about the insert !! ( the 5513 is 1983 mod )

Shouldn't a 1.5m serial have a gilt dial?

I don't propose that I'm an authority in any way, shape or form but the insert looks to have been cut down. The 10 and the 50 are missing most or all of the black present across the tops of the other numbers. I defer to the experts for more clarity on this.

Judging from the crown guards, I think the case may be fake! Also, I've owned 2 5513 MF's and I'm not liking that dial. I'd walk away from this one!!!!!

Post a pic of the serial and ref engraving and we can have a better look at the E to see whether the middle stroke of the E is a long or short stroke. If the middle stroke of the E is the same length or longer than the top and bottom strokes, them your case is a fakeee!!!

My 2p's worth... dial itself looks OK from the pics i.e. font/printing etc, but it may well have had a relume, would need clearer images to be sure. Case looks OK too, the insert 'thing' could well be that the fit in the bezel is not good (aftermarket bezel?) and the outer edge of the insert is sitting below the inner edge of the bezel, therefore from some angles partially hidden from view, giving impression if being filed/cut down. Pearl is obviously lumi, can't comment on anything else, really need better images.

Take it to the Rolex Service Center (RSC) and ask them to check if the watch needs maintenance. They usually take it in and do their test and will tell u if it needs maintenance, etc.
If it was fake, they will tell you: SORRY WE DONT DEAL WITH FAKE ROLEX WATCHES! This tactic always works to get a real authentic opinion. |

The dial is good, the case should be examined further as another poster mentioned...Looks authentic IMO.
The hands are either getting ready to lose their lume or they have been "sealed"...IMO The bezel AND insert are aftermarket. |

Pics are grainy, dial is fine, and I will would prefer to not comment on the case until some better case pics are provided.
