What inspired you to purchase it?

I've wanted one for a few years now. I've made a few trips to my local dealer to check them out and every time there I would talk to the owner of the store and he was a collector. The last time I was there before I actually purchased it he gave me some items to read about the submariner and just finally pulled the trigger. I am very pleased with the purchase. I actually was looking for an older sub but wasn't able to locate one at any AD so I feel very fortunate to have the ceramic as my first Rolex.

I here you about holding out for an older sub, but I think you got the next best thing hands down.
Has a modern yet very traditional style with the symmetric dial, enjoy it!

Welcome to the club. Enjoy angling your wrist so people can "Read Between the Markers", as they say (as I say/just thought of right now).

It is definitely worth it. I wish I had purchased sooner. Thank you everyone, I am happier with this purchase more than any other item I have gotten myself. So happy to be part of the club.
