114060 Impressions and great experience at an AD
Hi guys. Today I went shopping at the south shore plaza in Braintree mass to do some shipping and of course I had to stop in the Rolex AD there which is a Longs. I got to see my first Sub ND ceramic in person an of course had to have a look. IMO the upgrades to it are all very nice but not worth the upgrade from my 14060M. My favorite thing was definitely the upgraded bracelet. Gave the watch a heavier feel. The most surprising thing about the AD was the great experience there! The sales lady took the watch out of the case and said "this watch is solid platinum, the price is 97 thousand dollars". I was thinking, oh no, this could be the most uninformed AD in the whole world! And then she started laughing and said she was kidding it's 7500. Then we had a good conversation about the watch and rolex in general. I didn't feel pressured to buy it, they were just way nicer than any AD I've ever been to. So in summary, Longs in The south shore plaza is great and if your looking for the new sub nd they have one!

Thanks for the story!
However, I disagree with you. I just bought the new 114060, and I think it's MUCH improved from the original with some modern flare. I had never been a huge ND fan(although I wouldn't mine owning one by any means) until I picked this piece up. It's phenomenal. Glad you had a good experience at the AD. Hate when they super pressure you, or ignore you cause they don't think you're "qualified" to buy one. |

I definitely wouldn't mind a 14060M either. I definitely have more appreciation for the ND model. On top of which I'm a huge Steve McQueen fan, and he rocked a ND. Can't go wrong with his tools of choice. |

Nice story, i strongly believe that some models such as as the Sub ND is meant to be churished and enjoyed a life time and no upgrade in production is necessary an upgrade to buy. The older they get the better they are

Had the 14060M and am waiting on the 114060 to add to my collection..loved the older model but the hollow links killed it for me with STRETCH..plus I really like the new ceramic bezel...both are AWESOME watches!

Thank you for the nice story.
I saw 114060 recently at my AD. I was fascinated by the nice design and clean look. ... hm, I have not got a non-date watch yet... |

Love the great AD stories. Thanks for sharing. I agree the ND Sub vs. the ND SubC is purely a matter of preference.
