Panerai service experiences?
Hi guys, I'm getting more and more interested in Panerai. Especially with the current retro 2012 lineup.
What's the good, bad and ugly on the level of after sales service Panerai offers? Any experiences with their service centre here in Australia? Any feedback would be appreciated. ![]()

PASC is spotty at best. I've personally had one terrible experience and one good.

Are the in-house movements easily worked on by non-Panerai watchmakers? Are parts available outside of the Panerai network?
How has the PAM 372 held up since it's introduction? Solid and dependable? Sent from my Droid.

Parts not available outside the Richemont network. Not that it should pose a problem, see my other response to your initial post in this thread. Cheers Richard |

How has the PAM 372 held up since it's introduction? Solid and dependable? Parts were the issue for my bad experience. A simple bridge on a regular production model (312) wasn't available. I mean really? Had to wait about 6 months for a warranty repair. ![]()

I believe all in-house movements are Panerai only...La Jolla Boutique can perform some servicing. Rest go to Texas.
Haven't heard much negatives about the 372 movement.

Richemont Service in Sydney Australia
Richemont in Sydney is the service centre for Panerai.
Personal first hand experience.... can't speak more highly of both the work and the service level given. It is of the same calibre as the watches Richemont offer. Simply the best, attention to detail is perfect. I was made to feel very special, both from sending a watch for service and visiting to pick up a Radiomir buckle personally when visiting Sydney. ![]() ![]() Cheers Richard Quote:

2 for 2 good experiences and on average, 3 week turnaround.
