Thinking about pvd for PAM 210

I like the cleaner 3/9/6/12 sandwich dial on the 210 (vs the busier 183) so was thinking about how it would totally look SWEET if I put it through a pvd process.

Of course the 292 Black Seal Ceramic would be what most would say to go for, but once again, the 210 has the simplier dial and the weight is more suitable for me.

Anyone ever attempted this with a 210?

Oh man. Not a move I'd personally make, but do what you like!

Same. I love my 210 and can't imagine it with PVD coating. It's totally up to the individual.

If you think it would look sweet, why not go for it? It would certainly be a rare bird.

Of course, it is your watch and you can PVD away if that works for you.

Despite any claim to the contrary, PVD does scratch up and it shows more apparently than a scratch on the original stainless steel. A mark on a PVD object cannot be "touched up". Being a deposit, it has depth, therefore when it does mark, you will leave a mark as deep as the deposit.

However, consider please, the possibility of devaluing the watch for any future sale. Most Panerai enthusiasts and aficionados leave the watch head original and go berserk with straps.

Cheers
Richard

He doesn't like the dial on that one.

Do also consider that the 292 is actually ceramic cased rather than PVD which is technically more superior.
