There is a connection between the two companies, a long time ago in a galaxy far away. When the Italian Navy wanted the best, they went to Rolex for movements.

Tudor is not sold in the US any longer, so on this side of the Pond they are harder to come by. I have had a couple, chrono and sub made by Tudor and both were great watches.

Panerai is an aquired taste, not everyone likes all the same foods, nor should we all like the same watches.

I totally agree about so little being said about Tudor.
I mean if you post anything about Tudor, you would be lucky to get any kind of response.
The vintage Tudor Chronographs are one awesome watch in terms of both its features and value for money.
This is a Chronograph with Rolex Crown, Rolex Case, Rolex hands, Rolex accuracy and Rolex toughness and it just rocks
However, most Rolex enthusiasts will not give it a second look, why, who knows, but I guess its a learning curve and some people are still making their way along.

I used to own teh same Chrono, but in a white dial. I don't regret moving any of my watches, but that is really the only one that I ever miss.

I would buy one of the old Tudor Subs if I could find one in good shape at a decent price. Problem is, that's almost impossible! The pre-Tiger chronos were really good watches too from what I've read. They're hard to find too.

If you want to see a non-mass produced watch, look at a Panerai...but we can feel that way with our Rolex (mass produced).
