YG Daytona! Should I do it, or not?

Yesterday, I somehow, by some unusual paranormal force, found myself inside the Harrods Rolex Boutique! I ended up trying on a Daytona YG. Retail I think was £23,600. After some negotiation, they said they'd be able to let me have it for £22,000 and they'd put £600 onto my Harrods card. So the question is: Should I pull the trigger? As some of you guys know I have been looking for another watch. This really is a beauty though!

My only reservations are whether you guys think its a good enough deal and the scratches on the bezel

If they are just surface scratches, a jeweler should be able to polish the bezel to a perfect shine. 10% discount is not bad on a Daytona, and it is a beautiful watch. I might try for a little bit more due to the condition of the bezel.

That's a beautiful watch, and certainly the Daytona I'd go after if I was in the market for one. To the price, most everyone is going to say "Push for a bigger discount", but as long as you're happy with the price and this is truly a watch you WANT, then I say go for it!

If you are spending that much, it needs to be perfect....I would not buy one with scratches...you have access to his great forum, use one of the trusted sellers and get it exactly the way you want it with a great discount.

Don't mind the scratches, you had me at YG Daytona!

This is an absolute yes for me!

The gold bezel will always have some hairlines on it so no worries there.
Stunning dial combo and I'd say you have a decent deal working.

Have at it!!!

I think it is not a good deal, I got 20% off for a YG Sub recently. You can get the same for a YG Daytona may be not from Harrods but other AD's would happily do it.

20%off and u got a fair price ,no worry they will let you to have it just mention the scrathes/which are obviously not a problem since you got it from shirtcuffs in a minute.

Nice watch but you should get a bigger discount on an all gold model. Maybe if you picked one up here through a trusted seller, you could get up to 30% off..
I bought my yg rolex with a 32% discount from a grey dealer.
If the discount is good then you won't get gutted if you ever decide to sell or trade on another gold model

Thanks all for your responses! looking at what some have said, it seems I could get an even bigger discount at a grey dealer or even on TRF! I'd rather pay less and have the same watch naturally... hmm decisions decisions!

Harrods will be expensive.

I got about 20% off my WG from an AD! Look around before buying ANYTHING at Harrods.

The stainless Daytona is a rare one but I don't believe the gold ones have anywhere near that problem.

For me the discount is not high enough. The scratches aren't an issue but you should use them to get a better deal.

Any thing over £20k is too much for me.

Great choice Ash, but the scratches don't look too good and I think you could do better on the price.

I concur with the others about the price.

Overall though, it is a fine watch and if I were to get any YG Rolex that would be it.

Ash, you know I love the daytona (I have one myself) and yes it's a beauty in YG. But I must be honest with this specific one. I don't like it's face. Would be better if the three little dials where less screaming! I plain black dial would be better, nothing wrong with the red bits.
It's just what I think, so hope you won't be offened Ash

Not at all! I value your opinion 100%. This is what a forum is all about, all of our tastes will never be in unisen with oneanother which is what makes this place interesting and what causes us to buy different brands, and styles of Rolex watches. I have seen the black dial but for some reason I like the gold inner circles... they add a modern twist on a classic, IMO

WOW that looks beaut on your wrist

Ahhhh I want a better deal though seeing as many have said AD's can even get up to 20% off. That would make a huge difference on a £23,000 watch
