Milgauss GV vs Milgauss Black
Love to hear comment from those who own or have owned both the black and the GV, especially those who have switched from one to the other or have one and wish they had bought the other.
I am concerned that I might grow tired of the GV because it may seem gimmicky after a while. On the other hand the black may become a little dull and boring, and I might find myself wishing I had bought the GV! Many thanks for your comments. I will not be buying both! |

I love my Milgauss GV, and it has become my every day beater. I still find myself looking at it more or less each and every day, and that is not to check the time. I have never owned a black one, and most likely never will. To me the green sapphire is just amazing!
Here is mine.

I have owned my GV for four years now, and I don't regret purchasing it for a second! It's one of my daily wearers (the other is a Tudor Black Bay), just the perfect weight for typing at a computer all day. Green is my favorite color, and the crystal's appearance has not lost its appeal!

I own a GV but my oldest son borrowed it what seems like decades ago. He loves it. GV is the only way to go in my opinion. A relative has a white Millie but it just doesn't get it for me. I wear my Black Bay now probably 70% of the time and love the black face. had a white Daytona and Davidsw took it in trade on a black one. Face colors are personal preferences of course but if you get one GV all the way i say.

The black dial is my favorite followed by the white. The green is nice but seems too busy to me.

Thank you for the helpful comments and great pictures. I have a sub c LN , explorer 39mm and 36 mm, IWC UTC (1991), turnograph (1990), GMT 1675, explore 2 black 42mm (paid deposit, still thinking of GMT c instead) and Omega Constellation (1955).
I am split, the black is clearer, cleaner and has a simpler dial. Runs the risk of being too simple, maybe boring. On the other hand I have found simple is good in the long run. The green crystal is special. Not sure about the orange batons or the Arabic numerals on the GV. I like the second hand. There seem to be many GVs on eBay, as if owners tire of them. Love to hear from any one who has flipped from one to the other and why or who has both or sold and never looked back. |

Love the black dial, if only that came with green crystal.

I prefer (and bought) the black dial over the GV for the following reasons:
- I prefer the orange squares over the orange 5, 10, 15, etc. - I don't like the orange lume, mainly because the colour is not consistent with the rest of the orange - I like green, I like orange, but I don't like the two together as accent colours (despite my avatar). - I typically prefer the understated over the flashier version. Just my personal preferences. I have not grown tired of the black, in fact I think it is one of the truly perfect watches out there. |

Concure with the above post. I own & love the black Milgauss.
The orange hour markers on the GV look just wierd to me. Do love the green crystal though, if only the markers were all the same color I would have been all over it.

I vote GV because that is the one that, twice in the wild, I have spotted from 20 feet.
All 3 Milgauss dials are very attractive. I find the white the least desirable but still nice. |

GV gets my vote too, the splash of colour is what makes it so special. I've green dial (Hulk), white dial (SS Daytona), black dial (GMT), glacier blue dial (pt DD), and rose dial (RG daytona), all the diff colours means I always have a watch that will go with something!

A vote for the GV here. 18 months old now, and still gets the most wrist time.

Go for the black if you want a low profile beautiful watch or go for the GV if you want a flashy and cool watch that'll stand out. Either choice is a good one.
