Thinking of a fat lady
I was thinking of adding this particular vintage to my collection. For those who own it or have owned it would you recommend it from the Gmt line?

Great watch if you can find one at the right price and in good condition. The Fat lady dials have a lot of issues.

It's a nice watch which I owned for 27 years.
However, servicing costs were getting increasingly high (I only service with Rolex) and since I have no room for sentiment, I flipped it for the new GMT II ceramic. No regrets. "Out with the old, in with the new'' is my motto. Others will of course feel differently. |

I have a 1983 fat lady, which is birth year for me. I love it. Still my favourite watch to wear.

I used to have one. Still regret selling it.
It's a nice watch, definitely my favorite from the GMT's.

It has tritium on white gold indices so it can Patina(d). Sapphire glass, quick adjust GMT hands which is a plus for me. And of course thick case and crown guards for being a Fat Lady.
here's mine: |
