I owned three within a months time, and sold one, the DJ. I then purchased a bracelet for one of my watches and it seems to have quelled my need to won another one. I am now good at two, and will likely only get one more (sub no date, LV, or GMT Fat Lady).

Got my first from my grandfather 30 years ago, then stayed away from Rolex because EVERYONE in my family has one. I had to be different.
Bought my Exp II 42 in May of 2012, just picked up a Sea Dweller this week, and looking add another one ASAP. I got the fever.

Got my Sub-C in March, 2011, thought I had a watch that would be the only one I would need for life. Within a year I was jonesing for a Exp II Polar. Just trying to justify a 2nd $8,000 watch.

My situation was I guess a little weird/odd. I didnt get my first till I was probably 32 then I got 3 more right behind it in about 4 months. I like to keep 3-4 at one time which is right where Im at right now. It may be a while before I get the 5TH. Im working on different things in life right now like being completely debt free including the house. However Im sure I wont go all year without adding another Rolex. Already working on how to both. Get debt free and get another Rolex....

Going on two years since getting my first, and m in no hurry given that the dd is a grail watch, I love wearing it every day and have no longing to get another one. All in good time. I do make enough money to get another but the opportunity cost of it over growing my real estate empire is too great. I'd rather be more wealthy in ten years because of early investments in my 30s

My first Rolex was an old DJ. I sold that DJ and it took me roughly 7 months to save up for a Sea-Dweller.
