Would you accept this ???

I ordered a Tudor Heritage Chronograph from Germany last Friday & have been looking forward to it arriving.
I questioned the condition with the shop, who seem very reputable by the way, it was described to me as "2012, owned by a collector & really like new".
So today it arrived, i could hardly contain the exitement, and then i opened the box to find this :

So, would you be happy ?
i have emailed the shop & i'm waiting for a response. There is also a tiny mark on the crystal.
Could this be polished, or would you just not bother ?

There is no way it could be described as "like new."

No way, send it back for a refund ASAP and never do business with them again. How can they describe that as "like new"?

considering you dont live in germany, and that you might not go there in person to refund it....i would just polish the watch and keep it. Instead of risk losing my money and the watch. However, I do believe that it is COMPLETELY NOT ACCEPTABLE.

That would definitely take the shine offer the new acquisition,

I don’t mind the odd scratch myself as long as I’m expecting them, however as it’s not as described I’d want to return it asap.

Please let us know how it goes

Despite the fact that my watches tend to end up looking like that after a month of wear, if I bought a watch as 'like new' I'd expect it to be exactly like that. The fact remains that regardless of whether or not you'll end up scratching it or not, a 'like new' watch commands a premium over a 'worn' watch. If for no other reason other than this, I'd be very very unhappy indeed and would be seeking a partial refund and keeping the watch or a full refund and returning the watch.

They lied to you, sadly. It's that simple.

Glad you had a resolution that you can live with. You might want to post the info on the seller, however, on the Watch Out section, explaining the resolution as well as the initial problem.

I disagree. The deal was made in good faith and a lie was spoken. They broke their word. For me, that's a deal breaker, no matter what price I paid.

This is the only question. The rest can be fixed. Is it worth the hassle? If the price was good/great, I'd just polish it.

Talk to him and demand a reduction in the price. He doesn't want any trouble either.

I would return immediately and advise them by email with these pictures. How can this be described like new.

This is ridiculous.
