Is it ok to wear your rolex in a steam room or sauna? Would there be any issues?

I just searched 'wearing rolex in steam room', looked though the first 4 pages of results and still didn't get my answer.

Completely safe if the as long as the crown is screwed down....you may sauna worry free mate!

Of course you can.

If it can handle 100m underwater then steam will be ok.

It's fine, as for your watch to get very hot inside a proper Finnish sauna even would take a long time. Your watch is in contact with your skin, that won't get much warmer than 37c. This will actually cool your watch. Just as it warms your watch in normal room temperature. Test this, by noticing how cold your watch feels to the touch when not used, compared to touching the sides/top of your watch when worn. Same will apply in reversed order if the environment is hotter than you.

Air is a very poor conductor of heat, compared to say water. I suspect your watch get's much warmer by laying on the beach a hot summers day with sunray's burning on it or when you wash it in warm water, than 10-15min in the Sauna.

Relax and enjoy.

It's usually quite cold at a depth of 100m.

I've heard that over time the extreme heat of a sauna can affect the gaskets of a watch, but I'm sure once in a while would be fine.
