Not quite an owner... yet
Hi all,
I do not own a Rolex yet. The most expensive watch I have to my name is an Omega Speedmaster Day-Date chronograph, not close to what a Rolex costs. What I'm interested in learning from this forum is if what my local AD is telling me is true, that no AD will discount and if they do, something's wrong and I should stay away. I'm actually looking for a Rolex for the wife, whom after 8 years of marriage, never bought her a watch. Thanks in advance. jms_w |

My AD gave me 10% off on a SD. I had to go through four different Rolex dealers before I found one who would discount. Another Rolex dealer told me "Rolex does not allow discounts." That was a total lie, Arturo and Tombstone both posted stories about how they saved money and I followed their lead several months ago and talked my way into a discount. If the Rolex dealer says no discount keep looking, I found one who discounts always.

Cool! Thanks for the info. Does anyone know of an AD who discounts in the VA/DC/MD area, preferably one not in VA that could ship it to me so that I wouldn't have to pay tax? Are there any reputable on-line dealers (kinda doubt it). Thanks.

Rolex does not allow ADs to sell online. You'll have to either make phone calls or visit in person.
