Measurement Request Please

I just took delivery of my first AP and it comes with an alligator strap, lovely, but probably not durable to every day use. Would anyone be so kind as to measure an Offshore 42mm and 44mm please and also a diver. Specifically the width at the lugs and the width where the clasp would close.

Many thanks.

p.s.

Mine is 28x20 with deployant. I know I can probably buy an aftermarket band but was wondering if a regular rubber strap would fit.

What watch did you get?

The straps on most 42mm ROOs fit across the different models.

Yes a 26288OF.
The strap is great but I want a rubber strap ideally. Alligator is pretty, but rubber is functional.
I've seen some rubber straps as advertised as 28x18 and wondered whether that is a from a 42/44 or Diver.

LOL, Mike doesn't get excited like this very often! I had to look the reference up, but holy shit!!! Big Congrats

The 42mm ROO straps will not fit my 44mm FC, and being that your "holy shit" watch also has a 44mm case, I'm going to guess and say the Diver strap would not fit your watch.

Btw, if your wrist is too shy for pix, you may send it to me and I'll take some wrist shots for the forum

I think the rubber strap on my FC 44mm should work.

Any experts that want to chime in?

Manofsteelpt,

Thanks for that, useful to know.

I'm not specifically looking for an aftermarket third party strap, but certainly wouldn't have an issue with one, why not? If it fits and works then its only a strap, certainly nothing 'unworthy' about such things as long as the quality is there, or at least that's my opinion. That said though I was really hoping an AP original rubber strap may fit.

Prior to purchase and a few months ago I did speak to the NYC boutique who told me that nothing would fit. I'm just wondering whether that is correct or whether they mean 'fit 1000000000%'. Maybe something will fit to my satisfaction, who knows. No matter. The existing strap is great and if it gets wrecked or perishes then I'll have to get another one. However, I like the look and feel of the rubber on the 44mm and nearly bought one before a friend led me astray and to this one.

Thanks.

The strap for the 42mm Offshores wouldn't fit this piece and i honestly don't know for sure if the GP or the 44mm straps would fit your plots.

Very strange. I've replied a number of times and did indeed post some pics, I even emailed the moderators, but until the post above my posts haven't shown. When I posted the pics it told me I needed to wait for a moderator to approve the post, but even regualr text posts after that didn't get shown. I guess I'm 'bad' somehow. Maybe the pics will turn up at some point. They were only crappy iPhone pics anyway.
I wasn't ignoring the replies, thanks.

When you attach an image it cannot be more than 1000 pixels wide.

Once you upload the image you should be able to see it on your post.

For the new 44mm offshores the OEM rubber strap specs are 29/24mm 115/75mm

The Grand Prix straps will fit as well as the matte black alligator strap which I have asked a couple owners to post any info on this topic but they never did so I took the liberty of requesting the exact stock number of the alligator which would look best IMO on the 44mm right from AP parts dep

403728105 is the number for matte black alligator strap. AP confirms this and the GP straps will work.
Hope this info helps you out.

It's quite easy. When creating your post click on Go Advanced, then click on the paper clip icon next to the smiley face, click on browse, select the right pic, click on upload, once you see the files being attached at the bottom of that window you close the uploading window and then you click on Submit Reply. Very easy!!!!

DAMN. That's got to be the most gorgeous RG AP ever made! Congrats on an amazing piece. If I sold off all my APs and Rolexes... Hmmm...
