One watch owners, lets hear from you.

I'm a one watch owner after years of collecting and flipping. I decided that I would rather have one really special watch to grow old with then a collection. I love strapping on my GMT and it makes me smile from check to cheek when I'm wearing it. In 2 weeks it will be a year since getting it. I love to look at the different watches here on the forum but don't fell the necessity anymore to buy what I see. Maybe this is something which comes with age and experience..? I am curious to hear other 1 watch forum members perspectives..

I have 2 DD and 14060. But only wear the DD because it was my dads and he wore all the time and I feel I should do the same. Plus I don't want to wear the sub.

I only have a watch, Exp2. Very happy with it, would probably want another one or two but I can't really make up my mind. No Rolex currently in production is interesting for me, and when you look outside the Rolex sphere there are too many to choose from.

im a recent GMT IIc TT owner too and at this stage only have eyes for her.... im sure in time and with more TRF I will stray into a new love but dont see myself owning more than one at any time, will just save some cash and trade up

I'm already looking at the YG DayDate or dare i say the Rose version :-)

I have a Sub C and a Speedmater Pro. All my current watch needs and desires are met.

Truth be told, the Sub alone met those needs.

With your one watch, I wouldn't feel a need for anything else either!

I too am down to one Rolex (GMT II) which I purchased new about 7 months ago. In the past I have had a 2 tone Datejust as well as a stainless Datejust. I'm not sure if I'll add another Rolex but I am on the look for a Rolex for my wife. We are presently in Arizona and are meeting with an AD on Thursday am . Maybe we'll find her something she likes (doesn't like the ladies datejust).

More than a year still happy with my only watch, a GMT IIC

Can't imagine myself owning more than one, I'm a wear-the-same-watch-all-the-time kinda guy.

Would love to trade up to a two tone or better yet all gold GMT one day though

I'm a one watch keeper...but I flip like crazy. Next on the radar screen is a 16700 so then I will be a 2 watch guy, maybe for the weekend.

I only have One Rolex which is a Submariner, ever since I saw Roger Moore (James Bond) in Live and Let die as a kid its been the only watch I have ever wanted to own. I've had subs for the last twenty five years and have dabbled in between with date just's , omega seamaster's and speedmasters etc but always kept a sub. I have a 16610 now and it seems to have everything I need in a good quality watch, I wear it 24/7. Watch collecting is fantastic and I enjoy reading this forum with members adding to their growing stable of fine pieces but would be wasted on me.

I'm a one watch guy, SD. Would like to add a dress watch sometime, perhaps a PP Calatrava, Cartier Tank, or the beautiful Reverso 1931, preferably on the Casa Fagliano brown strap.

I wish I could be monogamous. Although the 16600 might be the one.

Although I currently have another watch (1625) for sale, I've decided the 16600 is "the one" for me. I used to wear a Breitling for Bentley every day, but I find myself reaching for the SD every single day since I bought it. Hmm, perhaps the B will be for sale shotly as well!

I think 2 will be my limit, one for everyday and casual events and maybe a YG date just for special occasions

It's been a few years since I was a one-watch gal....I went from 1 to 2.....to 1.... to 2....to 3....to 2.

2 is a sweet spot for me, though truth be told, either of the ones I currently own could satisfy me as an 'only one'.

I kind of consider myself a 1 waych guy, because I have only 1 Rolex, which I've worn every day since aquiring it about 2.5 years ago.

I purchased this watch as a gift to myself for becoming a father with plans to pass it down to my son when the time is right.

Knowing this may be my one and only Rolex, I wanted a piece that is versatile enough to be worn on any occasion, a perfect blend of sport and dress. It's the watch that has always stood out to me in the Rolex lineup (to be fair the Daytona was a very close 2nd). It is the SS/Platinum Yacht-Master.

I hope to be fortunate enough to have a 2nd child in the next few years, as well as the funds to purchase a 2nd Rolex. As of right now, that front runner is the 16600 Sea-Dweller but who knows if that will be my choice if/when the day comes.

Eventually, I'd hope to round off my collection with a 3rd piece, later on down the road: A solid gold piece, possibly a YG DayDate, or WG Sub? Who knows

I only have one Rolex until I save up for my next one, most likely a TT Sub-C or a DSSD.

My wife bought me a watch for a wedding present, a TAG Heuer Carrera Twin Time. That's never going anywhere. I wear it on special occasions. My personal collecting has seen many come and go. I'll always have my "beaters," my Seiko and a perpetual calendar Citizen that my wife bought me a couple years back.

I started with the Seamaster Pro "Bond," and then added a Breitling Superocean. I flipped the SO for an Omega PO, and pretty much ignored the rest of my watches, wearing the PO every day. I decided to pair down and just go for one watch to wear every day. An article on Hodinkee about a guy wearing a GMT MII every for the past 40 years is really what made me make the more to be a "one watch guy."

I just have my Explorer 42mm because I cannot afford to own any more. Simple. I feel very lucky to have one if I'm honest.
