when i just staring around the dial of my hulk i notice if there is something wrong with it. if you can see under the 10 o'clock there is a small dot inside the dial do i need to ask to replace it or just live with it??

Just below the 10 o'clock index (as the picture is aligned) kind of looks like a water spot that has dried out leaving a white outline??? That it?? Pretty hard to see but it's not good enough in my opinion......

It's always up to your personal tastes and your opinion, I wouldn't mind but if you bought it new and want to put all the scratches and hairlines on it yourself then perhaps you'd like to have it changed.

I don't want to confirm this but I am pretty sure they would change it if that small stain is too "heavy" to be simply and quickly wiped out. If that's the case, you'll have to wait a little bit as they will probably send it to Rolex and have them change it before sending it back.

For me, I would live without it for 4 weeks and get it rectified, rather than look at that spot for the next 30 years!

Knowing that its there, I would never be able to take my eyes off it. But that's just me....and my OCD

Its a ROLEX, it should be Perfect ! , i had an old Pepsi GMT many Moons ago, wore it for a week and the glass had droplets underneath all over it , Straight to the AD for a replacement ! and it was BNIB ! i guess sometimes some things slip through the cracks !

I had similar issue with my GMT when I bought it. In my case there was speck of dust on the dial.

I let RSC deal with that. My AD had called his contacts in RSC and it worked so that I could drop off my watch with RSC in Dallas. They fixed it in 24 hours knowing I was in town for just few days. I was pleasantly surprised as I expected it to take 2-3 weeks.

Since this is not going to harm your movement (as that speck could harm mine) you can wear it for few days or weeks and then sen it in to get fixed. Good luck.

You should go and fix that with your AD. That spot is very noticeable, and you'll see it every time you loo at your watch.

so just now i came to the rolex manufacture in geneva because the lady in bucherer told me if i want it fast i have to come direclty there. and its true, waiting time is only one week compare to one month.

You've done the right thing in sending it back. I abuse my watches but I do expect them perfect when new and a flaw on the face would have driven me nuts too.

Hope it's back and sorted soon - if you are currently in the UK and near London, it may be worth popping into St James' to see if it's something they can sort out for you?

Are you certain it's not on the crystal?

Sometimes those smudges can be difficult to remove.

no its not, i tried to wipe it off but still there. the watchmaker himself said it is on the dial.

Rolex has a premium price tag and the product should be perfect the day you get it.
That is a defect and should not be there. It should have been caught in quality control.

Good idea to get it taken care of. 1 week is a good turn around.

Are you crazy!!!??? That defective dial is going to be all the rage in 30 years or so - a "spider dial" of the future so to speak. You could be the first to have a Hulk with "gabriel dial" spots.

Seriously though, if it's still under warranty, get it fixed. It'll drive you nuts otherwise - I know it would me.
