New Rolex Gmt master blue/black
I am interested to what people think about the soon to be launched GMT master 116710BLNR. Firstly does anyone know the launch date? I believe it's going to be the same list price as the Black bezel Green hour hand LN, is this correct? Also most importantly as I've just purchased last week the LN which do you prefer???! Thank you for your feedback in advance.

It's already out.
Slight premium to LN. Not having seen it in real life, at this point, LN (blue and black seems like a weird combo, but in real life maybe it's nice). |

Didn't realise, I hope I wasn't too hasty, even so the black is classic and stand alone.

I just bought a GMTc and at this point so far I prefer it to the Day/Night GMTc. So far all the people who post wrist shots that supposedly bought one just show one or two pics and then nothing else.
At this point I'm honestly skeptical as to whether it really was released. |

new GMTC black blue
I have so far seen 2 wrist shots on the forums, one is from a person in South Africa, don't know where the other one is from, perhaps the same person.
2 AD's in the US told me that it should arrive in the US in the fall to the end of the year, holiday time. This means they don't know anything, which is typical of Rolex AD's. I don't think anyone knows the price, I thought I saw $9,000 US, not sure where I saw that. Personally I think the black/blue is outstanding, looking forward to seeing it in person. |

I thought it was really ugly at first. Now that I look at it more,on photos. I'm starting to like it. Did the color combination, was not perhaps the best. Do not know if I would buy it right, but it's OK.

I still prefer the all black version, though I haven't seen the blue-black in the metal yet.

More expensive than the LN. I can't comment on it until I see it in person. ( I plead the Fifth.) |

I really like the color combination. I still prefer my black bezel but for a two color bezel I cannot think of anything that would look better then the black/blue. Rest of the watch is nice too.

I am not fussed on this colour combination, i don't know why as I loved my Blue SubC so I love blue, only blue and red for me with a red hand. Maybe it will grow on me !

I have a black sub c. I never bought the older GMT because it looks too much like the sub. Now with the blue and black, I will get it. In fact my Dr. and I were talking about it in my appointment today (he is a watch guy) and he is getting one too.

The all black is more versatile IMO.

I have to view it in the flesh first, but I can see this making its way into the rotation once a deal is to be had on the forums. I'm never too fussed about being the first on the block with the new toy, so it can wait.

i like it. however, i would switch the bezels of the two because i like the blue 24 hours hand + all black bezel combo better.

Never thought about that. You are right that will be an interesting mod. Only problem is where to get the all black bezel as Rolex probably will not allow the swap.
