Icon10 A Dream No More

For many years I've been lusting for an AP... after a few watch sacrifices and additional cash, I am very excited to finally be an AP owner!!! I still can't believe that I finally own one... I've always wanted one but just could never justify having to sell several watches to fund one... until now.

Love the watch... But I have to say I'm a bit surprised at how sharp the edges on the tang buckle are. They are razor sharp... As if they were never deburred after they were machined. Definitely too sharp IMHO. And it looks like I might need to order the short length strap too... Ugh. Other than that I'm loving every part of it. Special thanks to DavidSW for coming through once more.

I have a few questions for the AP Diver owners:
1) To remove the straps, is it true that I only need to unscrew one side? Or do I need two screw drivers, one to hold one side in place while I unscrew the other side?
2) What other straps fit on this watch besides the bracelet (and that uses the tang buckle)?

Finally, here are the unboxing pics...

WOW that's what I call brand spanking new!!! Still in the plastic!!!

The mandatory wrist shot!

Diver Down!

Nice. I've been giving this watch serious consideration. Like it much better than the Hublot BB. Tried one on and it actually works on my smaller 7" wrist.

Congrats on a beautiful new watch. Very nice packaging!

Congrats, fantastic first AP! Was mine too.

Lexxxus, Id def get the AP Diver over the HBB. I had an Ice Bang and nice as that was the Diver is more muscular and substantive and feels of a much more solid quality.

I have to say I agree with AK797... Hublots are very nice, but APs are much nicer :).

Such a great AP. Congrats! I use 2 screwdrivers to change the stap. Pretty simple once you get the hang of it. The survivor strap and offshore bracelet are both great choices to change it up.

Congrats on this Diver, the buckle is razor sharp for diving purposes.. you'll need it for sharks, sea snakes, and other deep sea encounters.

Enjoy the Diver...many more AP's to come I'm sure.

And yes, two screwdrivers for strap change.

IF strap is too long, call AP and get the short strap.
