Rolex cause I don't have a Pammy. A Pam 88 GMT example would be nice though.

I've got to believe that if Rolex used a crown guard like the Pammy it would be stamped as part of the case. I haven't looked at the Pam really close but the crown guard appears to me as an afterthought. It doesn't really follow the lines of the case.

I never thought one way or another about Panerai until I saw one in a shop recently and the style doesn't appeal to me. I did get amused watching this young guy trying one on. It was far too oversized for his wrist and looked more than comical on him. It overemphasized that effect, making his arm look insubstantial. He couldn't have looked prouder, tho. But I didn't think it was a good look.
Big watches may be the fad, but it takes a substantial arm to support one without looking ridiculous and most of the people I've seen who wear them cannot pull that look off. I recall seeing Arnold wearing one in a movie and he could pull it off fine. For almost everyone else, it looks ridiculous to me. |

I like the Rolex, but the second and third Panerai's are cool too. The first one does nothing for me.

Rolex, of course.....but a PAM doesn't look too bad on me, guys. Here's one I borrowed from my friend in Auckland (while he was still there next to me, of course!!)

I just can't get on board the Panerai train.....
The oversized industrial instrument/gauge look just doesn't do anything for me.. I'll take the Rolex please..

For the sub's I prefer the Rolex, but that 127 and the Radiomir are killer.
Is that a PAM62? Looks like it would be 40 or 42mm, white gold, date & the second hand at the 9. Beautiful. Looks like it is a painted dial also?

Rolex.
I've never liked the Submersible though. The Marina and Radiomir are great looking. If I do get a PAM, it won't be one with a Unitas movement unless it's being liquidated at 50% off. |

I have given it plenty of time, but I just can't get into Panerai. Way too thick, and there's something about the other areas of the case that somehow turn me off, too. BTW- I hate rubber straps on a SS watch, always have, always will.
Rolex, on the other hand, repersents classic beauty and innovation! Its a no-brainer for me also!
