Bought, sold, and then bought again...???

A few years ago I bought (For the first time) a really nice White Dial SS Zenith Daytona...

A really nice Complete box & papers set...

After a time I decided to sell it to a dear friend who is a Huge Daytona fan...
Now you all know my theory...You don't really know what you like until you buy it, sell it, and then see how you feel...

Shortly after I sold it I was regretting it...

Today I just received and email from him...He has sadly since fallen on hard times and asked if I want to buy the Daytona back...

I think I may have to...

Do it. I had a Sub problem a few years ago. I started with an LV, sold it, bought a 16610, sold it, regretted it, bought another one, sold it. I'm over the Submariner now. I think I can live comfortably without one forever. I enjoy the GMT and Explorer 2 much more.

The point of my anecdote is that you may have to own it 3 times before you can really decide if its for you. Buy it back. Especially if it's a good deal. You could always flip it for real-world value later. One nice thing about Rolex is that the values stay mostly consistent.

Go for it! You will not regret it. I sold my car to a friend and told him if he ever wanted to sell it to let me know. I missed it, got it back, and smile every time I drive it or take it to a car show.

Help a friend while getting back a missed piece? I think you already know the answer. Show some wrist pics when it's strapped back where it belongs

If he is a real friend, that sentence alone should do it. I personally would, if I have the money laying around. Helping a friend is priceless compared to buying a watch.
