Help with RO bracelet adjustment
Hi,
Today I became the proud owner of a 15300ST (a blue one!). Will post some pictures later when it fits my wrist. It was shipped to me so I couldn't have the bracelet adjusted by the seller and now want to do this myself. I'm a bit confused however about the order in which to take out links. There are currently 2 links on the '6 side' and 4 links on the '12 side' that can be removed. See picture. My wrist is 7inch and I estimate that I need to take at least 2 links out, possibly 3 (I think a RO is most beautiful when it's not too loose on the wrist). Questions: 1) I suppose I have to take out links one by one from each side, so alternating between the two. Is this correct? 2) Do I take out the first link on side (A,B) or on side (CDEF) ? It looks a bit counterintuitive but I have the impression the first link has to be removed from the shortest side, possibly ending up with no extra links on the short side and still 3 (or 2) on the long side. Many thanks in advance for you answers! |

I use the "visual hang" method ;) hold the watch by the case with the bracelet clasp closed and see if the clasp is angling towards one direction or the other. If so, remove the 2 links from the longer side. If not, remove one from each. When I sized my new 15400 this week, I noticed there were more links able to be removed from one side than the other as well, but not that much.

Thanks and this seems logical, but I don't know if it's correct.
I recall that on a rolex the two bracelet ends can be very different in length with the '6 side' being shorter. Other opinions? Or someone who knows for sure how to adjust AP steel bracelets? Thanks! |

The clasp on a Rolex is much different than the butterfly clasp of the AP. You ultimately want the clasp to be centered on your wrist for best comfort.

I took out 2 links (D&E) but now it seems a bit tight and with only 1 link removed it's a bit too loose.
Too bad AP doesn't have micro-adjustments.... Question: does AP make half-links??? |
