Icon5 Found a Rolex. Can anyone tell me anything about it?

Does anyone know anything about it?
Authentic, year, type, anything?
Thank you.

Did you, literally, find it?

Welcome to the Forum

Can you read any reference numbers on the case at the 12:00 and 6:00 o'clock?

There should be engravings on the lugs or inner caseback if you can open it..

Yes, literally found in our things in a forgotten bag in storage.
There are no marking on the back of the face.

Someone told me it is a
1960s Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Chronometer watch in stainless steel (ref. 1500 / 1002) with a replacement un-branded leather strap.

Any buyers in Southern California?

That watch is going to need a lot of work, it appears as though moisture may have gotten inside the case which could be disastrous.

It's a 1500, I have the same watch. I would get it fixed, cleaned, put a new leather band and wear it... What a story you could tell when it's fixed up nice and on your wrist...
