cannot login to TRF from some computers

I can get on the forum from my work computer and smart phone, but when I try to logon from home, the TRF home page never loads. It is as if my home computer IP address is blocked by TRF. Has anyone else had this issue?

Sometimes you'll find things like that happening when you're being monitored!!

Or, have you been a member before and been banned?!? Oh dear...

I had problems this week in the sense that I had my posting privileges taken away yesterday. I think, though, it was to do with the fact that I had registered a new email address with my account here and was waiting for an update or something.

A similar thing has happened to me a few times in the past and the reason is because I am opening too many tabs too quickly. Basically, at home I use my mouse wheel as a third button to open posts in new tabs.

What I like to do is go through the general section or for sale section and rather than read a post and close it or hit the back button, I fly through the list and open all the posts I'm interested in as new tabs. This causes the website to think it is being DDoS'd or attacked or something and then it turns out my IP is blocked. To get back on the site, I have to contact my ISP and tell them what has happened so they can give me a new IP address. It's pretty frustrating but I'm getting better at opening one or two tabs at a time. Hope this helps!

I have been a member for many years. Never banned. As i said before it seems the IP address of my home computer is blocked for some reason.
I am posting this now from my work computer. Any ideas from a moderator?

It's usually the missing S that causes it.
