Your thoughts/opinions on the PAM 512 please

I'm interested in the 512, while I know that Panerais are considered sports watches in general I'm looking for a dressier 'dress casual' watch & I think the 512 fits the bill. Do others agree?

Also, what's a good discount as a recently introduced PAM from an AD?

Thanks in advance!

i used to have it and sold it. The case is very thin and light. It's very nice dress watch when you wear it the original black leather straps (not assolutamente straps like i did) :

For me the 512 is great as a dress watch.

I have a slender 6.5 wrist, but you know what they say; It's not size, it's thickness that matters... Oh wait, that is thickness

I have a bug for one of these, just waiting for the local AD to get one in stock so I can see it in the flesh before pulling the trigger. I really like the new Radiomir 1950 case. The Thin 42mm case works for me. No wire lugs. Yay!!! I just wish they used the quick release system or screw bars instead of spring bars.

Agreed. I can't stand wire lugs since I am born with 2 left hands = scratches!

I tried on on at the Panerai boutique in NYC. It was too small I have 6.5 inch wrist and was disappointed at the size. A 42mm would have been perfect. The 47mm one is too big. Instead I am getting a Pam 510.

The 512 is 42mm.

So it's still too small for your liking? My wrist is a touch under 6 3/4" and think the 42mm Radiomir 1940 case would be perfect for me.

Sorry. You are correct. I meant a 44mm would have been perfect. I prefer a little larger watch. I think the fact that the 512 is so thin makes it seem smaller than it is.

Except for the ecru lume, I really like it.
