FS: 1955 Rolex GMT Ref: 6542 with Original bakelite bezel
Serial #: 112,XXX
Case: Excellent case where the original bevels are partially visible.
The watch has been polished before but not extensively.
The caseback is stamped 6542 IV. 1955
The original bakelite bezel is in excellent shape.
It does have wear from age but no serious damage.
It looks like at some point some watchmaker glued the bezel into the assembly
and there is some solidified glue residue on the edges of the bezel.
Dial: Excellent glossy OCC dial with very light age and light spidering on the surface of the dial.
The gilt print is sharp and the lume plots are all there.
The hands look like they have been relumed at some point.
Bracelet: Excellent Swiss Rivet band stamped 2 55.

I had my watchmaker overhaul the movement and the amplitude is over 300 and the watch is running a little fast
at 12 seconds plus a day.
The watch comes from an auto mechanic in the Seattle, WA area who was the original owner of the watch.
