I Got "the Call" (part 2)
OK Ladies and Gent's, I got the white dial SS Daytona today around 11:45am. I unpacked it and took it out of the box and immediately put it on. What can I say, it was simply divine. I was right in the middle of taking some pic's and my phone rings. HMMMM! Do I answer it? I figure what the heck, might as well, although I WAS being interrupted by it. So I answer and it's a gentleman from an AD that I had spoke to about a week ago about a SS Daytona. So all the while I'm thinking what a dejavu this is turning into. Could this be happening again? As it turns out, he has a black dial SS Daytona he just got in and wants to know if I'm still interested in it. (Dejavu confirmed) So I told him Hell yes, and I jumped in the car and went and picked it up. ($7,900 / No Tax) Today was like hitting the jackpot and I still can't believe it happened. I've pinched myself quite a few times throughout the day to make sure I'm not just dreaming.
So here are the pic's I have so far. Please excuse the dust and lint! I didn't have time to properly polish them up before the shoot. |

Thanks Gents!
It was a once in a lifetime score, that's for sure! Here's a couple more pic's. I'll try to get some more taken in some better light.
I definitely like the white dial a lot better than the black, and so does the better half. |

You know, I have always been of the mind that the white face was much nicer than the black face. Now I'm not too sure. The black face looks equally amazing now that I see them side by side. I would still rather have the white one since I have the GMT-IIc, but boy, they both look equally nice.

NO NO! Buy ME a lottery ticket! You pick the numbers and mail it. I'll send ya a check
Big congrats on the double-whammy! An exceptional score, they look GREAT! Plus, it solves the issue of wanting white or black, too. Wonderful!

I am not really impressed!
I have a MUCH rarer one. The ultra-rare "Zenith"/Rolex in-house black/white Daytona: (Pic from my Photobucket). So THERE! Congrats, my friend! You must be very happy!

Bo, which AD do I need to call to pick up one of those "Zen-ex Yin/Yang DT's"? I'm SURE the only thing that stands between me and one of those beauties is just a few phone calls!
