New member. pic-heavy

posted this is the regular forum but thought: why not here aswell :)

If that's not allowed please delete this one mods

Hi guys and girls,

this is one of my first posts on TRF.
I thought let's introduce myself and show some of my pieces ;)

well, my name is Goedhart i'm 17 years old and i'am bitten by the bug.
I'm in my last year of highschool and next year I'm going to study buisiness economics at Groningen University.

now let's talk watches.
I'm a member of some Dutch forums for like 3 years now.
at first I thought I would like Omega more than I would like Rolex, even more when I bought myself my first Swiss watch. people around me don't understand my watchsydrome.. well I don't care. I love watches almost as much as I like my girlfriend ;)

an Omega speedmaster professional (1979)

I think you guys will understand why I love it so much: Timeless and iconic

after that speedy, watches came and went because I liked trading :)
those watches were on my wrist oneday ;)

well, after those few watches whahaha.... I wanted to get myself a rolex.. why? because I love the history of the brand and love the quality. another reason is that I think I can't afford watches like this when I'm a student... so better buy them now

the first Rolex I bought is this Rolex submariner 14060 (1994)

the last watch I bought is this beauty its a 1601 (1973)
I love this watch :)

I'm lurking on this forum for a few months now and I hope I'am able to contribute so ounce in a while.

Gr Goedhart

ps. I hope you guys liked the Pics

Speedmaster and submariner are both great watches, I have a 1972 rolex oyster precision I bought a little over a year ago when I was 18, followed by a 5501 air king, tag heuer 2000 professional. Sold the 5501 and tag, then bought a speedmaster. So now I have my Rolex oyster precision, and yellow dial omega speedmaster. (I always thought I'd want a Rolex and I love my Rolex but omegas speedmasters are too iconic/great value to pass one up. My friends do not understand my watch addiction as well so you're not alone. What part of the Netherlands are you from? I used to have some friends who lived in enschede(spelling?) your 1994 14060m is the same watch/year I want for my birthyear watch :D Welcome to the forum, and yes once school starts, money for watches seems to get really tight.

hi ;)

Cool there are some ''youngsters'' here just like me ;)
Enschede is in the east of the Netherlands. I live in the north approx. 1,5 hour drive from Enschede.

I do want to buy a Birthyear rolex if I have the money. My 14060 has to go then so.. if you are interested ;) hahaha

Only 17 you say - - -
man did I take a wrong turn somewhere along the way.
All I was doing at 17 was trying to figure out north and south on my Timex as I wandered around in some damn wet mosquito infested jungle.....

It would seem that someone was an awfully good influence on you.

Congratulations - I suspect you'll do quite well at Groningen University!
