What if...

Hi guys,

Most of us have become quite a close knit group of friends now. We keep bustin' balls all the time, share our love for watches, our families, our problems.....and just about everything else.

Ever wondered how we'd react if one of us suddenly stopped posting on TRF?

Ever wondered why that person stopped posting?

If something serious were amiss, would some family member of that person's inform TRF?

Makes you really wonder, uh?

What if.....

JJ, believe it or not, I was thinking about exactly that a few days ago when a bunch of us realized that Elaine had not been posting for a while. I started to worry the same way I'd worry if I stopped hearing from a close friend or a family member. I imagined all kinds of things............(typical for a woman who can dramatize just about any situation). I agree totally, JJ......really makes you wonder.

It's all the sheep fluff he's inhaled through his nose, Paul. It's starting to imbed it self in his brain.

If VajayJay stopped posting, this plcae would be 100,000,000,000,000,000,000 times faster than it is now

On a serious note, and you all know how I hate to be serious If work doesn't go my way one day, my wife knows to call Paul and Kelly and email Frans so that notifications can be made. It is amazing how a group of people on a computer screen become close enough to us to warrant such measures and forethought.

That happened recently when Padi dropped off the radar for a while. Remember how many posts there were with concern for him?

Hey, has anyone seen JJ around lately? I have not noticed any posts or comments from him since Christmas? Think I will start a thread to see if we can figure out what happened.

Don't bother, Joe. He's out in the field...

Good points JJ. We should issue emergency procedure cards for non TRF family members to follow.

That is an excellent idea!
Someone needs to create a general outlay to explain our family how to post on here when something happens to us!

Thank JJ for bringing this up! (even if it is a repeat)

Admit it, Joe - you didn't hit the "ignore" button by accident, did you?

When you think about it, such past responses have in fact, been global. Hows that for perspective? As recently as 15 or 20 years ago, the internet was a just a curiosity, or still just a collection of purpose-built intranets.

I'm rather proud of the comradarie around here!

Ehh, it's been busy at work. Besides, the other mods were complaining that they weren't getting a chance to ban anyone.
