So, on the sub 14060m it's extremely easy to deploy the diver extension. On a new sub 16610 (LV in this case), for the life of me I can't get the extension to come out. I don't want use brute force, but the sucker just won't come out. I compressed the link spring to remove the bracelet and take a better look. That divers extension is basically embedded into the other link. It seems as if they wanted it to be one piece. Anyone else have this problem?

On the 14060 bracelet, the link is a simple friction fit and just pulls out with enough force.

On the 16610 newer bracelets there is a link that is shaped like a J and hooks around a spring pin so you have to actually push it backward to come un-hooked..

Do it once and it will be easy from then on..

Once you pop the link by pressing the "o", you gotta kinda lift the center portion so that the angle of the "J" hook comes undone. Kinda.... You know?

Your excellent photos helped me work it out. Like the OP I was having trouble and the last thing I wanted to do was to break my new Sub.

I thought it was really weird when I first got it too.

Then I put a NATO strap on (Don't hate me JJ) and now I don't worry about it!! lol

I noticed the first few times myself it was quite difficult.....but after a few cleanings, it pops open with ease.

I just checked my Sub and for the life of me, I cannot see any reference numbers anywhere on the bracelet.

This page shows the new and old style bracelets - both with ref numbers. Mine does not have them as shown in the photos.

Yeah, I only could get mine to open on the first day I bought it. Cannot since. Not that I need it though.

X2...I don't need it so I am not worried...but mine won't come open at all and I'm not forcing it
