Incoming Friday... First Pam!
So I have been not sure on where to go with my collection. Don't have a ton of funds and typically keep it to 2 or 3 watches, right now have a Rolex 114060 and love it. Was looking at adding a BLNR, but wanted to look outside Rolex as well
Went and tried on a 44mm basic sandwich dial today and fell in love with the simplicity of the Pam112. Display caseback, manual wind, strap changing options, it's going to be awesome! Worked out a deal with DavidSW and should be here Friday morning ![]() Unboxing and wrist pics soon Now for the strap obsession I've been told so much about... where do you guys recommend I look for vintage leather straps?

Great choice. Panerai is the perfect complement to the Rolex. Wait until you get it and start obsessing about straps.
I have the 111 and love it. ![]() ![]() |

Haha my wife is excited cause she wants to wear my Sub... something about her wearing my sub just is awesome to me.
I looked at the 111 and it was a toss up, but I just wanted clean and classic and the 112 just is that! Straps I am already searching haha, I think first will be a vintage light brown leather ![]()

Great choice and the straps are so much fun but be careful, I spent 2 grand on straps for my 24 before I came to my senses and realized that's almost what a nice used watch cost! A lot of great strap makers out there but Micah is my fav!

Congrats on the 112! Can't wait for the pics.
Lots of nice vintage strap makers around. Maybe get one for your wife to wear with the Sub too! ![]() |

Congratulations! Base PAM is as clean as you can get.
![]() As for "vintage" straps, you're mostly looking for ammos, then? If so, Micah's Mauser is a great option (mil spec stitching is a classic choice with that strap and will look good with the lume of your 112). Other good options for ammo include Peter Gunny and Dangerous 9. Enjoy the strap hunt! As with most things, you get what you pay for. ![]() |

Awsome.....a Panerai is totally different animal than most other watches. Your gonna love is simplistic design and elegance.

Congrats, for straps, Micah, Mario Paci special editions for vintage, Wotancraft, just type "panerai vintage straps" on google and you'lĺ have a ton of them, I recommend buying 2, an exclusive one like the "Mauser" from Micah for example, and a more common but still nice one, i went with Mario Paci, but regular models, Wotancraft and kodiak 100% waterproof for hot wet summers, here's a photo of my straps, the 4 on the left are MP, then wotancraft and the 2 on the right are kodiak, didn't go yet for a real vintage strap, but thinking of getting a Mauser from Micah, good luck in your search and welcome to the Pamily

Ok I did it again, after all this talk about straps, and thinking about it for some time, I just ordered a Mauser from Micah, have got to stop coming on this forum, makes want to do crazy things, like buy straps or other pams... In all with this new strap the total strap price I paid is practically 1600 dollars, that's it, got some great straps the addiction must stop, of course it's a real pleasure changing straps, like having a new watch everytime, the ones I had were mostly waterproof from MP or 100% waterproof from Kodiak ( the most expensive ones but you see by the feel that you can go for a swim with them ), now I'll have a real vintage strap from an ammo pouch, I hope that's gonna be it

Oh one last thing, buy sewn in buckle straps, the first I got were non buckle, but it's a pain in the ... To change the buckle everytime, so now I buy always sewn in, be careful also not to make mistakes in the width, if you have a 44mm it's 24, 47's are 26, if you want a 24 but put the oem buckle you need to have 24/22, in my rush to get my first strap I didn't pay attention and ordered a 26 instead of a 24

Thanks guys for the great advice. Yes the Pam 112 is 44mm so 24 is what I've been looking at. You guys are right though, the more I look the more dangerous it could be. In my mind I'm already dropping another $500 on straps already haha. I'll probably wear it on the black leather for a week or so while I keep researching. Light brown ammo is what will probably be added first

dont go too crazy with straps. because later on you will just end up with too much straps anyway. just a good ammo will do congrats! |

Thanks! That's what I was going for, something clean and simple from each major brand... next is AP RO 15400 Black dial... probably a few years out though
