I think it looks fine... but I would hold out for the ceramic orange...
I'm surprised there was no mention at Basel... but I am sure it will roll out into the PO8500 line.... |

I remember seeing previews that said the new versions would have the orange ceramic because they finally got the color right (which is why in the original version, only the black bezel was ceramic). Not sure on the details though, but I would assume they will be out with the next round of releases.
As far as the OP's question, I think it looks great. It's a bright orange watch - I don't think you're going for understated - and to that effect, a beautiful watch with great wrist presence!

For now I think it's just that limited edition of 8 in platinum that has orange ceramic. I have not seen any announcement about a mass release.
There was talk about how Omega was having a very tough time getting the orange ceramic bezels to come out correctly and that's what necessitated the small edition being released. That being said, I'm sure they will figure it out sooner or later and release it as standard on SS or titanium models. However, when that will be is anyone's guess. |

I think the watch looks great, but perhaps an orange striped band and not solid orange would be better for my taste.

Right on the edge for me, but I'd still go with that over the 42mm. The 45mm size to height ratio has always been better to me than the 42mm. Good luck with the hunt!
