First post. First timepiece. First AP Jumbo 15202
Hi everyone - this is my first post here, I recently acquired my first ever timepiece! I have been wanting a timepiece since 2009, I went through many phases over the years and almost pulled the trigger on a IWC Pilot Chrono and PAM111. I was in love with AP 25940SK at one point but it was out of my price range. I am quite happy that I didn't and held out for this long. I knew I would be settling for something I eventually would grow out of and I did. My taste has evolved tremendously and through more and more research I become more and more intrigued with AP. Last year I did tremendously well in the stock market so I decided to reward myself. Here is how I narrowed down my choice, i considered a few watches in my price range the 15400st blue dial, 15400OR black dial, 15202, PP 5711a and the Daytona rose gold black dial. I was pretty set on the 15400st but I wasn't able to find the blue dial since it was boutique only (lucky me) as time went on I did more research, collectors and purist seem to take to the 15202 more, the original calibre 2121, extra thin, it just fit perfectly on my relatively smaller wrist. The history behind this piece will make a fine investment for the future. So I pulled the trigger 1 second after I tried it on for the first time. Now I just can't wait for my next piece and it will most likely be the PP 5711.
Its been the longest 5 yrs but I am very proud and happy that I earned it!! Please let me know if you have any advice on how to take care of the timepiece and any mistakes that you would like to share. I plan on keeping this for a long time so I wanna make sure it lasts. Thanks for reading! Special thanks to martinr for helping locate this piece |

Excellent choice. Only mistake would be selling it. The 5711 is a fine companion.

Thank you very much everyone!! I'm so scared to take off the plastic. The first scratch is going to stress me out and keep me from sleeping at night...

Lots of Jumbos lately. Fantastic choice. Picked mine up about three weeks ago and nothing else is getting wrist time.
I'm considering a 1-1/2 link to get the fit just right. Other than that, I LOVE THIS WATCH!
