Icon6 Did not see this one coming...well...sort of

My 10 year old son has all signs of being a foodie, so tonight I took him to his first Michelin star awarded restaurant.

Don Gerardo,
Your son seems to have a big hairy wrist, but great taste in watches.

Great for you to have done that with him. Also nice for the little ones to learn how to appreciate the finer things in life.

Thank you. So far he likes timepieces, but is mot crazy about them...as with food. Seeing a boy enjoy and be excited with octopus is not a common scene

great comment on the wrist! He has always enjoyed good food (runs away from McD) so this was a good moment to show him 'big leagues'...he LOVED IT!

Gerardo, it is great that he has gourmet tastes at such an early age and
that you two can appreciate and share such a nice meal together. Maybe soon he will want to
"share" your watches as well! "De tal palo..." as the saying goes in Spanish.

I do hope he gets into watches as well, but to each its own. I respect my kids tastes and do not 'force' them to try this or that.

Hope he liked the 18 yr old Chivas......

But joking aside, it's very unusual for a 10 year old to have such adventurous tastes..... So well done for educating him not to let his preconceptions make him miss out on some fantastic tasting food..........

With those Gerardo genes, your son probably had to eat up in case he missed his flight!

Great pics, as always.

Since I was young I've always been the type to try new foods...but I think your son took it to another level!

Thank you for sharing Gerardo, I hope you two had a lot of fun.

he paired his meal with a soft drink. He is amazing, when I present a new food, he asked questions, smelled it, took a bite and then decided if he liked it or not. He has been a fan of octopus for years, now he tried different kinds of oysters and snails. All were 'go'

We had a fantastic time!!! He told me he tasted how food was so different, and how by eating some meals he could 'clean his mouth' before trying something else.

Better yet, I want to come back as G's son. That way, he can pay while I enjoy.

Now my kids are training their kids to give the check to the grey-haired guy.
