Flip ROC for 15202?

Hey guys, I recently bought a black dial ROC which I love. But the more I see the 15202, the more I like it. Would you flip the ROC for the Jumbo? I know it's a personal decision but would like opinions.

I'm out of watch budget at the moment, so I'd have to flip the ROC and an Explorer II 42mm. What do you think? Yay or nay?

Thats tough man, I love the ROC however the 15202 is so iconic. If the ROC isn't singing anymore to you than yes. Do you use / like having the chrono functions?? also remember the 15202 is a 39mm.

You're right in that it's quite personal/subjective, but in a heart beat if it was me . . .

ROC and EXP II 42mm for a 15202....I wouldn't do it. I like larger watches but size aside I don't think the 15202 is a full rolex EXP II better than the ROC. I would keep what you have.

Nay. IMO you are better off with the ROC and the Explorer II. Good luck with your decision.

I would keep the ROC, even though I love the jumbo I think it is too thin for me personally...

Losing a 216570 to make it happen is tough.....but, the Jumbo is that good. No reason to tie up so much watch budget in an ROC you're considering flipping.

Flip the ROC if you don't like it anymore. Else, keep it and wait for 15202 to happen. They are both great watches!

I'd sell the ROC, keep the 216570 and save for the difference.

Thinking about it some more, I would probably sell the ROC, pick up a 15300, pocket the difference and start saving for the next one.

15202 is the ONE to have! The true iconic Genta classic. I would flip it. The simplicity is stunning and less is really more in this case of the Jumbo!

Obviously 15202 is iconic--enough said.

HOWEVER, I would not personally trade the ROC as I think the wrist presence is greater and a sportier watch (which I like). If you wear a lot of suits, then maybe 15202 is a better choice, but for my lifestyle, ROC all the way.

As you stated, it's personal, so go with your gut.

That's the thing, I NEVER wear suits. I wear jeans 98% of the time. Is the 15202 too formal? Actually this logic is what made me go for the ROC in the first place. I too like the bigger watch and wrist presence. But the 15202 is just too beautiful. Damn watch forums, I was cured for a few months but then I had to start visiting again. 😒

I remember you were tossing up the two when you bought the ROC, which was only a few weeks ago, right? Maybe give yourself a couple more months with the ROC, as it does suit you more, and after that if the Jumbo is still calling your name then go for it.

I noticed that you just got your ROC weeks ago. I would advise wearing your watch for another week or two. If the Jumbo is still calling your name louder by that time, DO IT!

Anyway, I would personally categorise the Jumbo as a casual/sporty dress watch as opposed to a formal dress watch. It really does go well wether with suits or jeans.

In that case I'd keep the ROC over the Jumbo if I were you, it's a bit more casual imo being a chrono, gives it a more-sporty appearance.

I would not do this trade. Maybe the ROC and save the difference if you like the 15202 better.
