AP ROC (26320 vs 26022)OR
Gentlemen,
I have been looking at the rose gold ROCs and found out that there are several types of them, but was wondering what is the sifference between the 022 and 320? I understand they have different dials, it is just for variation purpose or is one a newer model than the other? Thanks for looking! |

Case size. The 26320 is the newer model and 41mm. The 26022 is 39mm
Baton markers for the 41mm at 12 o'clock and triangle markers for the 39mm at 12 o'clock

Hi buddy, could you perhaps shed some light on the RG ROO chronograph in 42mm, I was planning on purchasing one. You seem to know a lot about audemars piguet, could you tell me which is the latest model reference, and any changes made between the newer and older models. That would be much appreciated.. /David. |

Hodinkee has a good write up on the new 42mm models. Also a few threads around talking about the 42mm

@lipjin
and all the other members... What are your thoughts about the 39mm vs 41mm ROC? I like the ROC RG but what should I consider before leaning towards either the 39 or 41? Regards, Steven |

41 all day long! Love the white dial against all RG bracelet and case. The dial is perfectly laid out and not cramped. It will be my next watch and very soon...Cheers,

I agree, they look very beautiful in the pictures. I have yet to see in person (both 39/41mm ROC Rg) Is there a huge difference in price gap between the two?

I had the same questions when I was looking for a ROC - initially leaned towards a 39mm Panda dial but got a 41mm Black dial ROC in the end. The 41mm I feel just has more space for the subdials but the 2mm difference is massive - try both to really appreciate the size differential. If you have a wrist smaller than 7in, I think the 41mm lugs would hang over the wrist and not hug it as it should. On the 41mm, the date window is situated more towards the center since both models use the same movement based off the the 1185 F Piguet mvt. Some find it unbalanced, it doesn't bother me though. What I like about the 41mm is that the marker at the 12 o'clock is now a double dash instead of the triangle found in the 39mm - at a glance it just looks better I feel. If I may also just throw in a winkle - why not consider the Leo Messi RG with tantalum bezel:)? The only drawback in that model would be that it comes on a strap and not the gorgeous AP bracelet.

Wonderful responses! I believe when the time comes I will be going for the 41mm black dial. Seem so rare to find one these days.

Size is definitely different. I felt that the 41mm hung over the edge of my wrists too much (but I don't know the height measurement). My 39mm ROC measures 49mm "lug" to "lug" not including the plots. Maybe someone with a 41mm can post theirs here too.

It all comes down to the size, the 41mm is a big watch, don't let the dial size fool you, its the case that sets this apart from any other watch. If your wrist is on the smaller size, you should definitely first try it at the AD. When I tried it on, there was a pretty big gap on each side of the lugs, it just didn't look right.
On the SS side, the older models have some amazing dials...the Panda and the blue dial are both very unique, even if my wrist did fit the 41mm I would still pick one of these. Possibly in the future AP will release more dial versions. On the RG side, both the white and black dial are amazing on the newer model. There is a grey dial on the 39mm RG that's also really nice. |

Sorry this is a late reply to this, but worth a shot. Thats a great ROC you have there! I'm looking at doing this exact conversion to the leather strap, but all the comments online about it all don't seem to be 100% sure, for both OEM and aftermarket. Is yours OEM or aftermarket? Thanks! And great looking combination! ![]() |

I'd say the 39mm case is perfect.

This is a great link to anyone wanting to know the history of the ROC chronograph and basically the split in AP between the pure Royal Oak and the Offshore Line
