Make sure there's a watchmaker in your home. Step 2. Video him while he services your Rolex. |

I think you need a real mindset to do things like that (and a steady hand) I used to be a dental tech. and that kind of intense work can drive you crazy!
I find it hard to get motivated to put things back together too |

Servicing your won Rolex (or any watch for that matter) isn't hard. All you need is to graduate watchmaker school, purchase a lot of tools and equipment (for a rediculous amount of money), set up a decent workspace in your home away from distractions and potential contaminates and the time and determination to actually do it.
