strange problem a week after servicing??

I recently had my Tudor with an eta 2824 serviced. At first, I was quite happy as it was going really well for almost a week. It was only picking up 3 or 4 seconds per day, but then it started to loose 5 seconds per day on the 6th day. This trend has continued and sometimes it stops ticking altogether. I wear it from morning till bed time. When I put it down, I have always put it lying down flat with its back on the desk.

Has anyone had this happen to their timepiece and if so, what was the problem?. The watchmaker keeps saying that it is running on time according to his electronic timer, but am not sure why it would pick up time consistently and then out of the blue just start loosing time. I am very puzzled

It's not unusual for a watch to vary a bit right after a service, but the "sometimes it stops ticking altogether" doesn't sound right.

You should have a warranty for the work done; I suggest having them take a look at it...

Doesn't matter what the timer says really.
Is the auto work working properly? Sounds like it isn't getting the watch fully wound.

You're right!!!. Someone else also mentioned that the same was happening to their timepiece ( different brand eta mvt) and it was the reverser wheels that kept slipping and needed the whole automatic assembly changed. Hope that this is not the case as it is an expensive job. I guess that warranty will not cover this as it is not a service defect. Thanks to you and rmfnla and everone else for feedback

Have you given it a full manual wind if not do so then wear it.

Yes, I did and after a few days, still the same!!!

Maybe it is badly worn in an area not easily detectable.
