ocrolexguy: A 10/10 Review

After recently hearing that I had been accepted into med school, I chose to I chose to make my first 'big' watch purchase. Without being too long-winded, I settled on it as a watch that was comfortable to wear for extended periods of time (light), rugged, and understated (often necessary in my new profession). Lastly, it had to be something in a 'reasonable' price range - buying more expensive watches will have to wait 7 years or so.

After an extended search and much consideration, I settled on the Tudor Pelagos. After searching on numerous forums and Lionseek, I came across a pristine, new example of the Pelagos for sale by 'ocrolexguy'. I was extremely hesitant at first - bank wiring a large (to me) sum of money to a total stranger for a watch I had not seen in person seemed ridiculous at first.

However, Patrick was incredibly quick to answer all of my questions in a very professional manner which definitely helped put me at ease with the process.

On June 25th, 2014 I purchased a watch from 'ocrolexguy' (Patrick). Within an hour of receiving my bank wire, the package had shipped and I had received a tracking number! The next afternoon, the watch was sized and on my wrist - talk about speedy service, especially considering I live in Canada. The watch arrived exactly as described and made me jump for joy when I opened the box. I have had the watch for about a week now, and I continue to smile every time I look down at my wrist.

Thank you, Patrick, for making my first online watch purchasing experience a great one! However, I also do resent Patrick somewhat - he has surely become an 'enabler' for a new addiction to higher-end watches. Rest assured that Patrick will continue to receive my patronage in the future, however limited it may be for the next couple years.
