Speedy bezel disappeared!

Sorry for posting in the Rolex forum but I know many of you own speedmasters and thought I would get the most helpful answers here.

I just purchased a BNIB speedmaster 3570 in June and have been wearing it daily since.

Sometime last night while I was out and about, the bezel fell off and disappeared! I was staring at my watch wondering why it looked different....took me a few seconds to realize what happened.

I'm still shocked that this happened....I didn't hit or bump the watch on anything and there isn't a scratch to be seen on the crystal or the case. For a watch that was NASA certified I'm absolutely stunned.

Has anyone else seen this happen? Could this be a warranty claim or am I stuck buying a new bezel?

Thanks for reading....any advice you can offer is much appreciated.

The Speedy bezel is non-rotating and a press fit over the crystal.

Best guess is that is either got knocked hard or came from the factory incorrectly pressed on.

You can probably buy a replacement from Otto Frei for about 200 bucks.

Good luck and sorry about the problem.

Take it to the Omega Boutique on Michigan Ave. and see what they can do for you. Normally it would not be considered a warranty issue, but Omega seems to have stepped it up in the service department at their Boutiques. They may just surprise you. Good luck!
