116613 Flat or Sunburst?

Take out your magic 8ball please, because here is a question for the future:

Will the 116613 flat blue be more valuable in the future due to short production time? because I can choose between the 116613 flat dial or the 116613 sunburst dial, which one should I take? Anyone can load some Pictures for me to make the decision easier? thanks

No idea, you should just buy the one that you like.

Sunburst is the way to go.

116613 Flat or Sunburst?

Neither will be more valuable. Get the one you like best, which for me would be the sunburst.

I looked at both recently and purchased the sunburst.

The flat is gorgeous too but I'm smitten by sunburst dials since getting the hulk

Get the one YOU like the best and forget the future value. Sunburst is my choice.

Are you buying the watch because you think it will be more valuable in the future or because you like the watch?

If the flat blue had "submariner" written in red, then yes it would be more valuable.

I bought a sunburst because I like it better. I agree the flat blue might be worth more in the future but that isn't why I bought it. Only time will tell but I don't see it being a very limited thing that is scarce in the future.

need to have a neither in the poll, don't think the value with be an issue in the future as how much you value it, so choice the one you like the best

I chose the flat because it matches the bezel

I had the same question as the OP.
I fell in love with the sunburst.
Then I thought about the value of the flat dial...

I'm thinking like my flat dial Rolex being the top article on Hodinkee in 2030 with the headline "Rare Flat Blue Two-Tone Rolex Sub-C sells at Christie's for $5.3 million" along with a Talking Watches video with Ben interviewing me with him totally in awe that I had the foresight back in 2014 to acquire the most coveted modern Rolex to date over a sunburst as well as the Explorer I "minute shorty" that is also now worth several million...

Then I realized that was a bunch of BS and just got the watch I liked- the sunburst.

But then I now just realized I just jinxed myself and that flat blue TT sub-c is going to be the PN of my generation.

The sunburst was the standard look since the beginning of blue on the Sub. Then they changed it much like "new Coke" then scrambled to bring the sunburst back exactly like "classic Coke".
Rolex must have recieved a massive amount of request to bring the sunburst back so that should tell you its mass appeal.

Sunburst dial all day long.
Look at that dial in the direct sunlight, it's stunning

I had the two choices sitting next to each other at the AD. The sunburst won easily and that is what I bought.
