Asprey Millie

Hi Everyone. May I please get your thoughts on this watch I had the opportunity of buying back in April but eventually passed up.

Asprey contracted Bamford to make 10pcs of this Milgaus with a Purple Asprey dial. This particular watch was number 10/10 and was already sold to a fellow from the Middle East and awaiting pick up. Asprey offered to have an 11th one made for me. I actually considered it but I wasn't completely sold, so I passed. I couldn't justify the price they were asking and I think I would have considered it more if the watch itself had a matte finish instead of the semi glossy black finish.

What are your thoughts on the piece?

They also had this Daytona with a purple PN Art Decco dial purchased by the same man from the Middle East. I really didn't like this one at all....

I think they look very cool and if you like them go for it!

Not for me however, I'm a purist

That's how I felt too. I thought they were cool but I couldn't picture the Millie on my wrist. So I passed.... I don't regret doing so either.

It's all about personal taste. For me, the watches have been ruined unfortunately..
However, I'm sure there are fans out there willing to spend the cash to have one..

Nice to know a limited edition of 10 can grow to accommodate whomever wants to pay up.
Personally I think it is unattractive, but I respect those who have such a passion for watches to the degree they would perform such a bold modification.

Love how they make a limited edition of 10 but when you ask they'll make 11.

Don't like the look of that personally, but not my money.
By the way, are those prices all-in or over & above the original cost of the watch?

Those were the prices for the watches all in. Being in England however you could also get a VAT refund when leaving
