How many of those people actually bought their own? I'd say under 5%. Gotta love those celebrity gift bags!

I have paid all my watches by myself. Did that means I´m no celeb?

Have to agree Jocke and to get this so called celebrity status today just appear on big brother or make a complete ars# of yourself on TV.Then become a instant celebrity, afraid today well here in the UK we have celebrity this celebrity that on TV myself would not pay most of them in steel washers.

Welcome to TRF

Nice find

Looking at Andrzej Golota's wrist i can understand that the wrist size does not matter when it comes to a day-date

Question: I've seen Phil Mickelson in Rolex ads so I guess he is another celebrity. I notice that he plays golf with a watch on. Is this a Rolex? If so, what model?

Che wore a GMT Master. This is a great quote from the Book Shadow Warrior by Felix Rodriguez.

"Below and just to my right, tied to a stretcher and attached securely to the chopper's skid, was the dead body of Che Guevara.

On my wrist was his steel Rolex GMT Master with its red-and-blue bezel. In my breast pocket, wrapped in paper from my loose leaf notebook, was the partially smoked tobacco from his last pipe.

There were stains on the army fatigue trousers I was wearing -- Che's blood caked dark against the khaki-green material."

I would love to know were that watch is now. Rodriguez only died about 15 years ago.

That quote pushed me from buying the Sub to the GMT IIc.

Matt...

Maybe wearing Rolex shows a personal appreciation of quality (rather than an ideological or philosophical message) since the pics show Pope John Paul II and politicians like LB Johnson, Castro and Sarkozy wearing Rolex as well. That Che wore Rolex is quite well known, and apparently not something he felt he needed to hide. It is said that Che had both a Submariner and a GMT. A CIA Agent (Félix Rodríguez) present at his execution said he stole Che's Rolex and other personal items.

The winner for 'most enthusiastic' Rolex owner seems to be Fidel Castro with his two watch on a wrist style!! Diego Maradona also habitually wears two Rolex at the same time, but he wears them separately (ie one on left and other on right wrist).
